New Glass Fun

Recently I have been working on glass fusing, using Spectrum 96, and picking the pieces up in the Hot Shop to blow. I am able to get incredibly intricate design work with the fused pieces- I am very inspired by Murano glass artist Massimo Micheluzzi and his use of cross sectioned murrine and fused glass. Ever since I met Micheluzzi at his Venice studio, I was intrigued by his cross use of glass techniques in order to achieve his signature surface treatments. Anyhoo, I’m no Massimo but this is a new venture in my glass career that I am very excited about!
